Privacy Policy Overview

Effective date: January 1, 2019

Integral Ltd, of Rotorua New Zealand (“us”, “we”, or “our”) are suppliers the ATLAS Acquire applications and web services (the “Service”).

ATLAS Acquire consists of 3 products:

  • ATLAS Acquire Mobile
  • ATLAS Acquire Desktop
  • ATLAS Acquire Web server

In addition to supplying these products, we are also available to host the web server component, along with other commercial web server providers such as AWS or Azure.

Please read this privacy policy carefully, as it explains to what extent your data is accessible to us and other 3rd parties.

The Information We Collect

ATLAS Acquire Mobile, as a data collection application, primarily captures data and images for your internal use. The types of data collected include

  • Textual attribute data
  • Geolocation Data
  • Photographic images
  • Audio recordings

No data collected or generated using ATLAS Acquire is automatically transmitted to us.

ATLAS Acquire can collect diagnostic information that reflects the activities and state of the mobile device for troubleshooting purposes. This data will include locational information and other details that can identify the device such as the mobile device’s unique ID, the IP address of your mobile device, and your mobile operating system.

Should you choose to provide us with this diagnostic data, then we will have access to this device-specific information. We will only use that information for resolving problems with the system, and will never pass it on to another party unless required to by law.

Textual Data

Any textual data collected using ATLAS Acquire is encrypted before being transmitted to the web server or desktop application that consumes that data. The data remains encrypted on the web server and cannot be decrypted there. Only your implementation of the desktop application can decrypt this data.

Geolocation Data

When you operate the mobile application, GPS (or other similar technology) is used to determine your current location as part of the basic operations of the application. The data is encrypted as part of the textual data. We do not have access to that data unless you share it with us.

Photographic Images

ATLAS Acquire Mobile gives you the option of capturing photographic images from your mobile devices. The application will seek your permission before sending copies of the images to other applications of the Service. The images are not encrypted, and whoever hosts the web server application would have access to these images.

Audio Recordings

ATLAS Acquire Mobile gives you the option of recording oral notes from your mobile devices. The recordings are not encrypted, and whoever hosts the web server application could have access to these recordings.

ATLAS Acquire Mobile can also convert orally entered data into textual information which is stored within the encrypted textual data and is therefore not accessible by a 3rd party.

How we use your information

The only data we would expect to receive from you is diagnostic data to help identify problems, and we use it only to solve those problems.

If we are hosting the web service for you, we would have access to the encrypted data files (which we cannot decrypt) and the unencrypted photographic and audio files. We will not use or pass on any of these files unless you have provided permission for us to do so.

How we disclose your information

We will not share any data received from you with any other party unless we have your express permission to do so, except as below:

The only exception is in response to regulatory bodies. We may disclose your information if we believe it is necessary to do so to comply with a law, regulation, or valid legal process. If we are going to release your information, our policy is to provide you with notice unless we are prohibited from doing so by law or court order. We may disclose your information without giving you prior notice if we believe it is necessary to prevent imminent and serious bodily harm to a person. Nothing in this policy is intended to limit any legal objections or defences you might have to demands to compel disclosure of your information, including demands from the government.

Data Security

ATLAS Acquire products are designed to operate with several layers of security.

5d5d5dWe encrypt data that you transmit between ATLAS Acquire applications using the AES-256 algorithm. The Service applications automatically generate and maintain encryption keys, and we do not have access to these keys.

We use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)/Transport Layer Security (TLS) to create a secure tunnel to protect data in transit between applications of the Service. We neither collect nor store your security keys on our servers in any form. Your security keys are only known to your device, and we hash and salt it to help protect it against possible compromise.

ATLAS Acquire Web servers may keep an encrypted copy of your data. The only entities capable of decrypting this data are your copies of ATLAS Acquire Mobile and ATLAS Acquire Desktop applications. The strength of the encryption algorithms makes it prohibitively difficult for anyone – including us – to illegitimately read your data.

No transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot absolutely guarantee that unauthorized parties will not be able to defeat our security measures. You use the Service at your own risk and are responsible for taking reasonable measures to secure your account (such as keeping mobile devices and database connections away from malicious access).

Changes to this policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. The most current version of the policy will govern our use of your information and will always be at https://integral.co.nz/privacy-policy-acquire/. If we make changes that we believe will substantially alter your rights, we will notify you before they take effect, so you can review them.
